Supreme Court Denies Clarification on Balaji's Ministership in Cash-for-Job Scam

The Supreme Court refused to entertain a plea by DMK leader V Senthil Balaji seeking clarification on his potential reappointment as a minister amid an ongoing cash-for-job scam trial.

A bench comprising Justices Surya Kant and Joymalya Bagchi pointed out the timing of the plea, with questions arising after Justice Abhay S Oka, who had earlier asked Balaji to resign, retired.

The court emphasized that, while not restricting Balaji from ministership, it is crucial for justice to prevail unaffected by any influence that might arise from his role.
