In a significant operation, law enforcement authorities in Jharkhand's Seraikela-Kharswan district apprehended three individuals involved in a drug trafficking network. The group was caught with brown sugar valued at approximately Rs 40 lakh.

The arrests, made on Monday, followed a tip-off suggesting illegal activities were underway in Adityapur's Muslim Basti. In response, a specialized raid team, led by SDPO Samir Sawaiya, was deployed to take immediate action against the perpetrators.

Those arrested included Shabaz Khan, 19, Md Samir, 19, from Chhattisgarh, and Rafiqul Islam, 50, from West Bengal. All suspects are now facing charges under the NDPS Act and have been placed in judicial custody, according to police reports.
