In a triumphant operation, Delhi Police rescued a seven-year-old boy and detained four suspects linked to his abduction, officials announced. The apprehended individuals are identified as Ajay Verma (24), Amit (18), Sachin (20), and Ajay (20). The child was found at a farmhouse in Hansi, Haryana, authorities confirmed.
The incident came to light on September 28 when the child's mother reported him missing after he failed to return from school. She accused Ajay Verma, her former partner, in the kidnapping. Acting swiftly on the complaint, police launched a search, leading to the child's rescue and arrest of the alleged culprits.
In a separate crackdown on crime, Delhi Police arrested a 19-year-old after a social media video showed him firing an illegal weapon. Identified as Jamaal, the suspect was caught with a country-made pistol and cartridges. A coordinated operation led by Inspector Yogesh Vashishta tracked and apprehended him.
The city police registered a case against Jamaal under Section 25 of the Arms Act, continuing investigations into his activities. Another major bust in West Delhi uncovered 3,580.4 kg of illegal firecrackers in Rajouri Garden, where a family was caught repackaging them for illicit sale, violating the Supreme Court ban.
Police revealed the firecrackers were sourced from Meerut, Gurugram, and Ghaziabad to exploit Delhi's market. The operations underscore Delhi Police's ongoing efforts to combat various forms of crime in the capital region. (ANI)
