In a significant military operation, the Indian Air Force (IAF) effectively neutralized key Pakistani military assets as part of Operation Sindoor. Air Chief Marshal Amar Preet Singh confirmed that the operation resulted in the destruction of 4 to 5 Pakistani fighter jets, including the likely destruction of F-16s, along with other essential military infrastructure.

Speaking at a press conference in New Delhi, Singh detailed how the IAF targeted Pakistani airbases, damaging vital components such as radars, command centers, and runways. "We have significant evidence of a C-130-class aircraft and potentially a high-value surveillance aircraft being hit," added Singh, emphasizing the damaging blow dealt to Pakistani defense.

The operation, marked by the longest successful missile strike of over 300 kilometers, demonstrated the capability of India's recently operationalized long-range surface-to-air missiles. Singh stressed that the IAF's strategic precision and clear objectives facilitated the rapid conclusion of hostilities, serving as a global example of decisive military efficiency.
