BJP MP Bansuri Swaraj commended Delhi High Court judge Swarna Kanta Sharma's decision not to recuse herself from the high-profile liquor policy case involving AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal and others. During a press conference, Swaraj lauded the decision as a powerful assertion of judicial independence and criticized AAP's coordinated pressure tactics targeting the court.

She accused Kejriwal and AAP of orchestrating a campaign to intimidate the female judge, labeling their actions as manipulative and disrespectful. Swaraj issued a stern warning, stating that insulting women in such a manner would lead to consequences, expressing solidarity with women who have faced similar situations throughout history.

Swaraj further condemned AAP for its anti-women stance, referencing their opposition to the Women's Reservation Amendment. Her remarks followed Justice Sharma's steadfast refusal to withdraw from the case, emphasizing that unfounded bias accusations shouldn't force judicial recusal and underscoring the protection of judicial integrity from political influence.
