Police Misconduct Sparks Outrage in Guna District

In a troubling incident from Madhya Pradesh's Guna district, two police constables face suspension following allegations of assault and abuse against a youth. The incident occurred in Kumbhraj town, sparking rapid reactions after a video circulated widely on social media.

According to Superintendent of Police Hitika Vasal, head constable Vasudev Sharma and constable Sharad Yadav, were involved in the altercation that has been deemed unethical by the department. The video footage, which surfaced on Tuesday, shows the officers engaging in inappropriate behavior.

The authorities reacted promptly, ordering a probe and assigning the two to the Guna Police Lines during their suspension. Suspended for negligence, they are restricted to headquarters and receive only a mere subsistence allowance. An investigation led by the Sub-Divisional Officer has been initiated to uncover more details within a five-day deadline.
