Bhat, previously an assembly elections candidate, was detained by police at the party office in the Ramban district. Authorities registered a case against him under multiple sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, including those related to endangering life and wrongful restraint.
The protest triggered chaos inside the hospital, lasting roughly 30 minutes despite intervention by the Sub-Divisional Magistrate and police. Hospital authorities confirmed that patient care remained largely unaffected during the incident.
