In a high-tension incident, Chandigarh police arrested notorious gangster Mukesh alias Golu Gohana on Wednesday, following a brief exchange of gunfire near Sector 25.
Police intercepted Golu after receiving a tip-off regarding his visit to his sister's residence. The encounter unfolded near Rally Ground, with Golu opening fire and the police retaliating, resulting in a gunshot wound to the suspect.
Authorities seized a .32 bore pistol and three cartridges from Golu, who faces charges under the Arms Act and is linked to multiple criminal cases in Gohana and Chandigarh.
