Probe Launched into BDO Nowshera Allegations

An enquiry committee has been established to investigate serious allegations surrounding the Block Development Office (BDO) in Nowshera, officials confirmed Thursday. Contractors accused the BDO of deleting bills worth lakhs of rupees over the past two years.
The decision follows a report that highlighted these concerning allegations. In response, the Assistant Commissioner Development of Rajouri, Auqil Novaira, announced the formation of a five-member committee to conduct a fair and transparent probe.
Members of the committee, including experienced BDOs and engineers, are tasked with examining the allegations thoroughly within seven days. The BDO Nowshera has been instructed to fully cooperate, with further actions pending the committee's findings.
