The Registrar General of India (RGI) has issued directives to district magistrates and municipal commissioners to pinpoint villages and communities at risk of threats or intimidation that may impede the smooth conduct of the Census.
The goal is to ensure comprehensive coverage and avoid omissions due to inaccessibility or socio-economic obstacles. Authorities are tasked with conducting vulnerability mapping on a revenue village basis to identify areas facing potential interference with Census activities.
District intelligence units are asked to stay vigilant, and a dedicated helpline has been launched. Moreover, special arrangements will assure enumeration of nomadic tribes and mobile populations, prioritizing a safe and accurate nationwide Census.
