In a stunning daylight heist, four armed criminals looted 3 kg of gold and Rs 4 lakh in cash from a Bank of Maharashtra branch in Hazaribag district, Jharkhand, on Friday.

Police reports indicate the robbers struck around 3.10 pm during lunchtime, taking the bank manager and staff hostage at gunpoint. The robbers forced their way into the iron chest, making off with the substantial loot.

The incident unfolded within the Barhi police station limits, with an immediate Special Investigation Team (SIT) formed to track down the culprits as no customers were on-site during the robbery.
