OLAF Launches Investigation Into Peter Mandelson's Ties with Jeffrey Epstein

The European Anti-Fraud Office (OLAF) announced the commencement of an investigation into Peter Mandelson, Britain's former ambassador to the U.S. and ex-EU politician, over his connections with Jeffrey Epstein, a deceased sex offender.

OLAF confirmed the investigation but refrained from making further comments to maintain confidentiality around ongoing inquiries, protecting personal data and procedural rights. This follows earlier scrutiny in February.

Mandelson, who served as EU trade commissioner and a minister when Labour was in power, lost his ambassadorial role after the exposure of emails indicating his relationship with Epstein. His legal team has not commented on the matter.
