The Coordination Committee of All District Court Bar Associations of Delhi ended the lawyers' strike, launching an urgent circular on Monday evening. This decision followed rapid measures enacted by the Delhi High Court concerning the conduct of District Judge Rakesh Kumar.
The committee highlighted that their demands regarding the judge's behavior during the incident at Rohini Courts were acted upon. Subsequently, the call for a work abstention was revoked, reinforcing a mutual respect between legal and judicial officers.
Meanwhile, the Delhi High Court transferred Judge Rakesh Kumar to a different role, while the Judicial Service Association condemned the social media sharing of courtroom incidents, underlining their support for maintaining judicial integrity amidst public pressures.
