Kashmir's Drug-Free Mission: 14 Arrests Spark New Hope

Police in Kashmir have intensified their crackdown on drug trafficking, arresting 14 individuals across multiple districts as part of a 100-day campaign aimed at eradicating drug abuse in the region.

The arrests, which took place in areas such as Ganderbal, Anantnag, and Budgam, led to the seizure of significant quantities of banned substances, including 100 bottles of codeine and over 2 kilograms of charas. Each incident involved meticulous police work, with operations stemming from credible intelligence and routine checking.

Authorities continue to pursue legal actions against those apprehended, highlighting the ongoing challenges faced by law enforcement in curbing drug-related activities. In addition to these arrests, police destroyed illegal poppy fields to prevent further drug production.
