A traffic police assistant sub-inspector was injured when a car hit and dragged him for nearly 100 meters in Delhi's Shahdara on Tuesday. The official, identified as ASI Vikas Kumar, was attempting to stop a black car at the GTB Hospital intersection.

The incident unfolded around 4:50 pm when the car, with tinted windows, jumped a red light. Kumar, on duty for vehicle checks, was struck as he tried to intercept the vehicle.

After the initial collision, the driver continued, dragging Kumar until he fell. A case has been lodged at GTB Enclave police station as efforts to identify and arrest the driver continue.
