The Awami Itehaad Party (AIP) expressed deep concerns on Friday following the dismissal of its chief Sheikh Abdul Rashid's interim bail plea by a Delhi court. Popularly known as Engineer Rashid, the politician has been incarcerated on charges related to a terror funding case.
AIP MLA Sheikh Khursheed, who is also Rashid's brother, criticized the decision, stating that it denies his brother the opportunity to see their critically ill father. He described the decision as lacking humanity and compassion, raising serious questions about the fairness of the system.
The court ruling has drawn criticism due to its implications on justice and humanity. Khursheed argued that the incident reflects a broader issue faced by Kashmiri Muslims, with many languishing in jails. He highlighted the need for a more compassionate legal approach.
