The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) seized Rs 21 lakh in cash and jewellery during a raid on the home of a Central Warehousing Corporation (CWC) manager, apprehended recently in a bribery case, officials announced on Saturday.
According to a CBI spokesperson, the search revealed cash, jewellery, property documents, and digital evidence from the premises linked to the accused manager. The investigation continues to explore the potential involvement of other CWC officials.
The manager was accused of demanding a Rs 1 lakh bribe from a contractor to allow the continuation of their awarded project work, highlighting a broader corruption issue within the organization.
