Romania is on high alert as its defense ministry has announced the retrieval of drone fragments in Tulcea County, a region that borders Ukraine. This move comes in the wake of a Russian attack on Kyiv two nights ago, escalating regional security concerns.

Security teams launched operations in Galati County, where a recovered drone caused damage to a house annex and an electricity pole. The device was safely detonated at a secure site, ensuring no further risk to the area.

A second drone was also discovered and collected in the southeastern county of Tulcea. These incidents underscore the spillover effects of the ongoing conflict, drawing Romania into the broader geopolitical tensions.
