In a significant operation conducted by the Railway Police Force, three teenage boys were rescued at Hatia railway station in Ranchi amid allegations of human trafficking. The boys, aged between 14 and 15, were allegedly being trafficked to Bengaluru for work, as reported by the RPF.
The accused, a 27-year-old man, was arrested following the operation. During interrogation, he allegedly confessed to trafficking laborers to Bengaluru's construction sites, receiving a commission for each person. He is suspected of trafficking poor children from various states with an accomplice, the RPF statement revealed.
The minors, originally from Jhalda in West Bengal's Purulia district, disclosed that they were misled into believing they were going to Bengaluru for employment.
