In an escalated anti-narcotics operation, six individuals were apprehended in Jammu and Kashmir's Doda and Kathua districts, yielding contraband substances and Rs 23 lakh, police reported on Monday.

In a simultaneous legal action, assets valued over Rs 73 lakh linked to suspected drug dealers were seized in Udhampur under pertinent legal statutes.

Additional Superintendent Mohd Aslam stated that a woman, Zareena Begum, under police watch for her alleged involvement in drug trade, along with her family members, was detained during a raid.
