Chandy Oommen, a prominent Congress leader, has voiced apprehensions about the storage of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) from two Assembly constituencies in a single hall, raising questions about their safety amid Kerala's intense summer heat.
Oommen disclosed that his election agent has already submitted a formal complaint to the Election Commission, highlighting the availability of another unused hall that could securely store the EVMs separately.
Despite concerns, Oommen expressed confidence in the UDF's victory and refrained from commenting on leadership discussions. He plans to elaborate on the EVM situation post-May 4 election results.
