Illegal Warehouse Demolition in Khandwa Unveils Slaughterhouse Secrets

Authorities in Madhya Pradesh's Khandwa district took decisive action on Thursday, demolishing a warehouse deemed 'illegal' for storing remnants from slaughterhouses. The long-overlooked facility came under scrutiny following a recent raid that uncovered animal remains, including large quantities of cattle fat, hides, and bones.

A collaborative effort by the Revenue Department, Khandwa Municipal Corporation, and local police led to the facility's demolition. Officials stated the warehouse was constructed without necessary permits. Municipal Commissioner Priyanka Rajawat revealed that the landowner lacked proper property documentation.

The municipal corporation, along with other agencies, dismantled the 5,000-square-foot facility. During an April 24 raid, authorities seized animal processing equipment, leading to one arrest linked to the illegal warehouse operations.
