A Shimla Police assistant sub-inspector faced suspension following the circulation of a video that showed him kicking a man during a dispute. The footage surfaced online, prompting the Senior Superintendent of Police, Gaurav Singh, to launch an investigation into the incident.
The altercation occurred on Friday near Tavi Mod, Shimla, when the officer was assigned to VIP duty during the president's visit. The conflict erupted after the officer asked a taxi driver to remove his vehicles from the road, sparking a disagreement when the man explained he couldn't move both simultaneously.
Eager to document the officer's allegedly improper behavior, the taxi driver began recording. The video captures the officer's aggressive response and has since been widely shared, exerting public pressure on the local police force, leading to the suspension of the officer in question.
