In a tragic incident, two individuals were arrested in Agra following the death of a 13-year-old boy allegedly over plucking watermelons from a family-leased field. The charged atmosphere has necessitated a strong police presence in the area.
The incident unfolded in Soni Kheda village under Basai Jagner police station limits, sparking unrest. According to Agra DCP (West) Aditya, the arrested individuals, Riazuddin and Shirazuddin, were partners of the victim's family in farming operations on the disputed land.
The boy's body was discovered by his sister, prompting a police response and subsequent post-mortem examination. Safety measures include continued police deployment to prevent further escalation of tension.
