Disturbed by potential disturbances to public order, the District Magistrate Krishan Lal cited concerns over planned demonstrations. To curb possible disruptions, the ban encompasses areas like Clock Tower Chowk and Dessa Road, among others.
The ban, under Section 163 of the BNSS, includes exceptions for events with pre-approved permissions. Non-compliance will lead to penalties under Section 223. The decision prioritises maintaining public safety and avoiding inconvenience to daily commuters.
