Gunfire erupted at the residence of an event organiser linked to singer Rahul Fazilpuria in Gurugram on Sunday, as two motorcycle-borne shooters fired shots, injuring a police constable. The attack occurred at Saurabh Yadav's home, where the officer, Kulbir, sustained non-life-threatening injuries to his arm and leg.
According to police, the shooting was allegedly orchestrated by individuals connected to gangster Deepak Nandal, with whom Yadav reportedly had a monetary dispute. Yadav had previously received threats from Nandal, believed to be operating from abroad, leading to police protection at his residence.
An FIR has been filed, and investigations are underway with police examining CCTV footage to apprehend the suspects. The attack follows previous violent incidents within the network surrounding Fazilpuria, increasing tensions in Gurugram's crime scene.
