J&K Police Intensifies Crackdown, Arrests Alleged Drug Peddlers

In an intensified crackdown on drug trafficking, police in Jammu and Kashmir apprehended at least seven alleged drug peddlers in the Samba and Udhampur districts on Tuesday, officials reported.
Among those arrested were Ajay Sharma and Anil Kumar from Bain Camp, after a checkpoint on Namandar-Chak Ram Chand road led to the discovery of a heroin-like substance in their possession.
The campaign also saw the arrest of Sunil Kumar alias Kadu in Vijaypur and Bhag Hussain alias Bhagu in a separate incident. Meanwhile, Sukhdev Singh, Jeevan Kumar, and Arun Kumar faced charges in Udhampur alongside drug seizures. Authorities reiterated their dedication to combating drug trafficking and urged public cooperation.
