These elections, held in West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Assam, Kerala, and Puducherry, demonstrate the strength of Indian democracy, Devnani stated.
Devnani noted that peaceful voting, particularly in West Bengal, marks a considerable achievement for democracy, especially given the history of electoral violence there. He remarked that this change reflects the growth of democratic awareness and confidence among Indian voters.
Highlighting the role of the Election Commission, Devnani praised its efforts in identifying sensitive booths, deploying additional forces, and utilizing webcasting and CCTV monitoring, which ensured a fair and transparent electoral process. The enthusiastic participation of women and youth was also noted as a positive development in the democratic engagement of the new generation.
