Truck Driver Arrested in Tragic Delhi Hit-and-Run Case

In a significant breakthrough, Delhi Police have apprehended a 20-year-old truck driver in connection with a fatal hit-and-run incident on Ashoka Road, officials reported on Tuesday.
The suspect, identified as Tuntun alias Titu, was captured in Samastipur, Bihar on May 4. He was on the run following the tragic accident on April 27, which claimed the lives of cousins Yagya Bhatia, 20, and 14-year-old Abhav Bhatia. Both were returning home from an IPL match when their motorcycle was struck from behind by a truck near Mahadev Road T-point in the Parliament Street area.
Authorities utilized CCTV footage, technical surveillance, and local intelligence to track down and seize the truck, ultimately leading to the driver's identification and arrest. The accused had reportedly fled to Bihar following the incident. He is set to be presented in court as investigations continue.
