Former Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has launched a scathing attack on the BJP government following controversial remarks made by its MLA, Pratap Gameti. Gameti, during a review meeting in Udaipur, claimed that the food offered at anganwadi centres was so inferior that even animals would refuse to eat it.
Gehlot's criticism points to broader issues within the state, particularly concerning the welfare of children and pregnant women in tribal areas. He questioned the delays in implementing crucial schemes and alleged corrupt practices affecting the food quality intended for children.
The incident has not only raised questions about the state's governance but also sparked a political debate. Leader of Opposition Tika Ram Jully joined the criticism, denouncing what he described as a 'failed double-engine' government, suggesting deep administrative flaws.
