Escalation in Gaza: Airstrikes Target Hamas Leadership
An Israeli airstrike in the Gaza Strip killed a senior Hamas police officer, Naseem al-Kalazani, amid ongoing violence despite a ceasefire. An Israeli airstrike eliminated senior officer Naseem al-Kalazani of Hamas' Interior Ministry in Gaza, as confirmed by health officials and Hamas sources on Wednesday.
The attack, targeting a vehicle in Khan Younis, resulted in Kalazani's death and injured at least 17 others. He was leading the anti-narcotics force in the region.
Israel continues to intensify strikes on Gaza's Hamas-run police force while blaming Hamas for ceasefire violations. The conflict, despite a truce since October 2025, has seen considerable casualties on both sides.
