In three separate orders passed on May 8, Tribunal Member KP Shrikhande directed the owner of the offending truck and Reliance General Insurance Co. Ltd. to jointly and severally pay the compensation with 9 per cent interest per annum. The accident occurred on November 26, 2021 on the Pune-Solapur Service Road under Indapur police station limits. Mathurabai Baban Babare (60), her grandson Arya Rupesh Babare (14) and relative Mahi Kesarinath Patil (18) were hit by a speeding truck.
