The Lucknow bench of the Allahabad High Court has expressed serious concerns over the sale and use of Chinese manjha, a type of lead-coated nylon kite string, in Uttar Pradesh.
The state government announced plans to frame a law against the material, highlighting the formation of a six-member committee for this task.
During a July 13 hearing, the court emphasized the need for active compliance and manufacturing site investigations, urging cooperation from local kite associations to prevent unnecessary harassment.
