Army Thwarts Infiltration Attempt in Poonch

The Indian Army on Tuesday foiled an infiltration bid by terrorists along the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch district, neutralizing an intruder, officials reported. The attempted breach happened in the Krishna Ghati forward area, where alert troops identified suspicious movements.

The White Knight Corps confirmed that suspect activity was detected roughly 300 meters inside Indian territory, prompting a swift response. Troops challenged the infiltrating group from Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, resulting in a gun battle, the army stated on social media platform X.

The rapid action of the Indian Army averted the infiltration, ensuring the integrity of the LoC. The army maintains high operational readiness, actively dominating the area to prevent further infiltration attempts, with the neutralized intruder suspected of having ties to Lashkar-e-Taiba, according to sources.
