Jammu and Kashmir's Land Record Digitization Nears Completion

The Jammu and Kashmir government has made significant strides in digitizing its revenue records, achieving a 93.39% completion rate across the Union Territory. According to officials, over 64 lakh records have been approved as part of a broader initiative to enhance transparency and efficiency in land record management.

Data indicates that out of 68,59,915 total khasras, 64,06,641 have received approvals. A systematic approach is being implemented by divisional and financial commissioners to rectify errors, address backlogs, and ensure public verification of records. Remarkably, districts such as Ramban, Shopian, and Ganderbal have reached a 100% completion rate.

Meanwhile, in other districts such as Srinagar and Budgam, the progress is soaring above 99%, showcasing the government's commitment to modernizing land records. Despite admirable figures, some regions like Pulwama and Anantnag are yet to achieve similar success, indicating ongoing efforts are needed to match the completion rates observed elsewhere.
