Larsen & Toubro's Power Transmission & Distribution business has clinched substantial contracts in the Middle East to construct extra-high voltage substations. The tasks include developing one 380 kV and two 132 kV substations, which are crucial for ensuring the supply of dependable electricity to large consumption areas and for reducing grid congestion, as reported by L&T.
The company announced the projects without disclosing precise financial details. However, the orders are categorized as 'significant,' indicating values between Rs 1,000 crore and Rs 2,500 crore according to the company's scale.
The L&T power segment is renowned for its engineering, procurement, and construction expertise, offering technology-driven solutions. Its operations span 30 countries, including regions such as South Asia, Africa, and North America.
