In a decisive move, West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari declared that his government has allowed the CBI to take action against officials embroiled in corruption pertaining to school and civic body recruitments.

Addressing a press conference at Nabanna, the state headquarters, Adhikari accused the former government of obstructing critical corruption investigations for nearly four years by denying CBI permission in significant cases. He emphasized that the current administration is committed to a zero-tolerance policy against corruption.

Highlighting the government's swift action, Adhikari announced that necessary sanctions have been provided to the CBI for cases related to the education, municipal affairs, and cooperative departments. This initiative aligns with the ruling party's campaign promise to tackle corruption actively.
