The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) arrested five individuals as part of its ongoing probe into the NEET UG paper leak case, officials reported on Wednesday. The agency undertook a series of coordinated raids across India, focusing on multiple suspects in cities like Jaipur, Gurugram, and Nashik.

The investigation escalated after the arrest of Shubham Khairnar from Nashik, who was promptly relocated to Delhi for further questioning. Meanwhile, seized digital devices from various suspects are being sent for forensic examination to uncover potential messaging applications involved in the paper's circulation.

The CBI collaborates with Rajasthan's Special Operations Group and visited the National Testing Agency's headquarters to gather pertinent documents for the now-cancelled examination. With nearly 23 lakh aspirants impacted, the CBI vows to pursue every lead, ensuring a meticulous and unbiased inquiry.
