Union Minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar's son, Bhageerath, failed to appear before law enforcement on Wednesday as part of a POCSO case investigation. The case involves allegations of sexual harassment against a minor girl.
Despite a notice served to his uncle requiring Bhageerath to present himself at the Pet Basheerabad police station, he remained absent. The police continue their search for him across multiple locations.
The case originated on May 8 following a complaint by the mother of a 17-year-old girl. Bhageerath is accused of being involved in a relationship with the girl and committing acts of sexual harassment. Consequently, serious charges under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act have been applied. Bhageerath has since approached the Telangana High Court for anticipatory bail, with a hearing scheduled for May 14.
