In a significant breakthrough, Delhi Police arrested a 26-year-old, previously accused of rape, in connection with a mobile phone snatching case. The accused, Manoj, also known as Mannu or Monu, was apprehended by the vigilant efforts of the Ashok Vihar police team.

The arrest followed a police call received on May 4, alleging that Manoj snatched a mobile phone near Azadpur Railway Station. Based on this complaint, an FIR was promptly registered under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, leading to a dedicated effort to track down the suspect.

Advanced investigation methods, including CCTV footage review and local intelligence, aided in the identification and arrest of Manoj. Interestingly, the accused was found with two stolen phones and was already a suspect in six previous snatching and robbery cases. Further findings revealed his connection to a rape charge in Agra, upping the severity of his criminal record.
