The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the results for the class 12 examinations, with over 85% of candidates clearing the exams. This marks a drop of over three percentage points compared to the previous year, yet still indicates strong performance.
Examination Controller Sanyam Bhardwaj revealed that 94,028 students, or 5.32% of examinees, scored 90% and above, while 17,113 candidates achieved 95% or higher. Despite the strong showing, the number of compartment students rose, highlighting challenges in certain subjects.
In a significant move, CBSE utilized 'On Screen Marking' for assessing 98,66,622 answer books digitally. Girls outperformed boys, and transgender candidates achieved a 100% pass rate. Trivandrum led with the highest pass percentage among the regions, indicating diverse regional performances.
