In an earnest appeal to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, senior advocate Adish C Aggarwala has underscored the necessity for lifelong security for retired judges of the Supreme Court and high courts.

Aggarwala, chair of the All India Bar Association, reasons that judges engage in sensitive judicial work, often issuing judgments that could displease criminal elements or influential figures.

To safeguard their post-retirement lives, he advocates for at least 10 years of security for retired district judiciary officers as well, emphasizing their vulnerability and ongoing exposure to threats.
