Early Thursday morning, Russia launched a coordinated drone and missile assault on Kyiv, the Ukrainian capital, damaging multiple buildings and endangering lives as residents find themselves trapped beneath the debris.
According to Tymur Tkachenko, head of the capital's military administration, a residential structure in the eastern Darnytskyi district partially collapsed. Emergency services swiftly mobilized to locate and rescue those feared trapped under the ruined edifice.
Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported destruction across various city districts, including a fire ignited in a northern 12-storey apartment block from missile debris. The assault extended to other Ukrainian regions, including Kharkiv, Sumy, Chernihiv, and Poltava, marking a broader pattern of aggression impacting critical national infrastructure.
