Prostitution Racket Uncovered: Two Arrested in City

Two women have been apprehended for allegedly orchestrating a prostitution racket from rented properties in the city. Police reported on Thursday that the Central Crime Branch's Women Protection Squad acted on a tip-off to make the arrests.

The illegal activities were reportedly conducted by housing women in rented spaces across Ajith Nagar and Vidhyaman Nagar. Acting on detailed information, the CCB Women Protection Squad executed raids at these addresses, rescuing three women engaged in the trade.

During interrogations, the accused confessed to contacting clients seeking prostitution services by phone to arrange meetings at the rented properties. This revelation led to criminal charges being filed at Soladevanahalli and Byadarahalli Police Stations. The investigation is actively progressing, according to an official statement by the office of Bengaluru Police Commissioner Seemant Kumar Singh.
