A police constable, Devendra Gujar, tragically passed away after a choking incident during dinner in Maharashtra's Beed district, officials reported on Thursday.
The 50-year-old officer from Wardha district encountered this mishap at a dhaba on the Parli Vaijnath-Ambajogai road on Tuesday evening.
According to authorities, Gujar developed severe coughs after the first bite, which led to cardiac arrest, resulting in his untimely death. Following the unfortunate event, his body was handed to his family after a post-mortem examination conducted on Wednesday.
