In a recent development, CCTV footage and images of a vehicle's number plate linked to the IED recovery incident in Pune are being enhanced with technological tools. Maharashtra's Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis confirmed this on Thursday, underlining efforts to identify the accused in the case.

The incident involved a low-grade explosive device, discovered in the washroom of Usha Kiran Hospital in Hadapsar. A Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS) managed to safely dispose of the device. Furthermore, the use of artificial intelligence is enabling clearer identification from the enhanced footage and images.

Fadnavis emphasized that the incident is being treated as an act of sabotage. Law enforcement bodies, including the Pune police, crime branch, and Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS), are actively investigating to unravel the conspiracy and identify those involved.
