A government engineer in Odisha's Bhadrak district is under investigation after being found with assets beyond his known income. The Vigilance Department discovered numerous plots of land and residential buildings belonging to the junior engineer.
During coordinated raids at four locations, officials found seven plots: two in Bhadrak town, one near Bhubaneswar, three on the outskirts of Basta town in Balasore district, and another in Amarda, Mayurbhanj district.
In addition to real estate, the searches yielded a triple-storey building in Bhadrak, a double-storey building in Balasore, Rs 1.73 lakh in cash, gold ornaments, and bank deposits. Further investigations are underway to ensure accountability and justice.
