Punjab's Crusade Against Drugs: A People's Movement

In a resolute bid to cleanse Punjab of its drug menace, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann announced the state's unwavering commitment to the 'Yudh Nashean Virudh' campaign. Claiming significant progress, he reported the arrest of 63,707 drug smugglers within 437 days, with demolished illegal properties built through drug money.
During an anti-drug awareness event marking the 38th 'Gurugaddi Divas' of Sant Trilochan Das Ji Maharaj in Batala, Mann emphasized the fight against drugs and organized crime as a collective movement supported by every Punjabi. The government also credited its anti-sacrilege law for halting incidents of 'be-adbi' of Guru Granth Sahib.
Mann iterated the ongoing crackdown under the 'Gangstran Te Vaar' campaign and invited public cooperation for a drug-free Punjab. He stressed the spiritual legacy of Punjab, invoking historical teachings of resistance against injustice as inspiration for the initiative.
