Telangana's Director General of Police, C V Anand, conducted an extensive review of the operational readiness of the state's elite anti-insurgency Greyhounds and the anti-terror OCTOPUS forces on Thursday.
During his visit to the Greyhounds headquarters, DGP Anand conducted a comprehensive evaluation of both operational and administrative aspects. He underscored the importance of updating training standards to meet evolving operational demands.
Anand also addressed concerns about the reduced strength in the Greyhounds due to decreased Maoist activity and assured that the proposal for filling 708 surrendered posts is with the government awaiting orders. In his remarks, he praised the professionalism and effectiveness of both forces while promising ongoing support to enhance their operational capabilities.
