In a recent session, the court noted receiving troubling feedback regarding activities in the region and emphasized the need for comprehensive solutions, halting all mining activities for the time being.
The court has called on the environment ministry and other stakeholders to propose domain experts for defining the Aravalli hills and ranges, with the intention of addressing ecological concerns and ambiguous definitions that have spurred significant outcry among environmentalists.
